National Safe Work Month

Home » News » National Safe Work Month

National Safe Work Month happens every October in Australia to raise awareness of Work Health and Safety (WHS).

Last year, data from Safe Work Australia showed that around 163 people died while doing their job, and approximately 10,000 made workers’ compensation claims for serious injury in 2019-2020.

More can be done to prevent these work-related injuries and deaths.

This year, we encourage businesses, employers, and workers to ensure all the measures are in place to ensure and safe and healthy workplace.

If you need an occupational health provider for pre-employment medicals, employee health checks, or workplace injury management, contact Melbourne Occupational Health Services for more details – (03) 9560 6655 or (03) 9793 5395.
